WhatIfI Group Ltd has achieved another significant milestone in the development of its national training offer, becoming a Qualsafe registered centre approved to deliver regulated qualifications across First Response Emergency Care, First Aid, and Education and Training.
The approval enables WhatIfI Group to deliver a growing portfolio of Qualsafe qualifications, including the Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3), workplace first aid qualifications and the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET).
Becoming a registered centre represents an important step in WhatIfI Group's ambition to provide high-quality, professionally recognised training for individuals, employers, organisations and those seeking to develop careers within the emergency care and training sectors.

First Response Emergency Care
A key part of the approval is WhatIfI Group's ability to deliver the Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care, commonly known as FREC 3.
FREC 3 is designed for those who require more advanced emergency care skills than those typically covered within workplace first aid training and provides a pathway for people working or volunteering in pre-hospital emergency care environments.
The qualification will form an important part of WhatIfI Group's developing medical training portfolio, supporting learners including event medical personnel, those working in outdoor and remote environments, emergency response staff and individuals seeking to progress further within pre-hospital care.
Training will place a strong emphasis on realistic scenarios, practical skills and developing the confidence required to respond effectively when faced with medical emergencies.
Expanding workplace first aid training
WhatIfI Group will also deliver a range of regulated First Aid qualifications, supporting employers and individuals in meeting workplace training requirements while developing practical life-saving skills.
The company's first aid programme will include courses such as Emergency First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work, alongside other specialist first aid provision as the centre's portfolio develops.

“When somebody finishes one of our courses, we want them to leave believing that if an emergency happens tomorrow, they can actually do something about it.

Training the next generation of trainers
The centre has also been approved to deliver the Level 3 Award in Education and Training, providing an entry route for people wishing to become trainers, tutors and educators.
The qualification will complement WhatIfI Group's wider learning and development activities and support individuals wishing to develop the knowledge and skills needed to plan and deliver effective learning.
WhatIfI Group intends to use the qualification both as a standalone professional development opportunity and as part of pathways for those wishing to progress into instructor roles across its specialist training areas.

The Qualsafe approval forms part of a wider programme of development within WhatIfI Learn, the learning and development arm of WhatIfI Group.

Together, the developments allow WhatIfI Group to combine regulated instructor-led qualifications with flexible digital learning and create broader training programmes tailored to the needs of employers and individual learners.

As a registered centre, WhatIfI Group will operate within Qualsafe's quality assurance requirements, with appropriate systems covering areas including trainer competence, assessment, learner records, internal quality assurance and the management of regulated qualifications.
The company is investing in its training infrastructure, instructors, equipment and quality systems as it prepares to expand its programme of scheduled and client-specific courses.
