Analytics cookies

These tell us how the website is used, so we can improve it.

_shopify_analytics (this site, up to 1 year): Shopify's store analytics.
_ga and _ga_FHNLCCZ2P9 (this site, up to 400 days): Google Analytics, which tells visitors apart and records how they use the site.

Marketing cookies

These help measure the effectiveness of advertising and show relevant ads.

_shopify_marketing (this site, up to 1 year): Shopify's marketing attribution.
_gcl_au (this site, 90 days): Google Ads, which records whether a visit led to a purchase or enquiry.

Third-party services

Google. Analytics and advertising measurement load from Google domains (including Google Tag Manager and DoubleClick).
Find your OS map. This page loads the WhichOSMap map tool and Ordnance Survey map data. WhichOSMap sets two session cookies (whichosmap_session and XSRF-TOKEN) that last until you close your browser. They only appear if you visit that page.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the shop, such as your basket and checkout, may stop working. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.

How we look after personal information

Our Data Protection and Privacy Policy sets the standards for everything we do with personal information, including data collected through cookies. In summary:

Private by Design. We think about privacy before we collect information, introduce a technology or change a process, and collect only what is genuinely necessary.
Trusted by Default. Access to personal information is limited to people who need it for their work, and it is protected with technical and organisational safeguards that match its sensitivity.
Transparent by Choice. We explain what information we collect, why, how it is used, who it may be shared with and how long it is kept, in plain language.
We process personal information only where there is a lawful basis, and keep it only as long as needed for its purpose or for legal, regulatory or contractual reasons.
Personal information is not transferred outside the United Kingdom unless appropriate legal safeguards are in place.
Suspected data breaches must be reported immediately, investigated promptly and, where required, notified to the regulator and the people affected.
We do not put personal information into publicly available AI tools unless it is expressly authorised and safeguards are in place.
